From the creator of the most popular anime to hit this year One-Punch Man, comes the anime adaption of Mob Psycho 100. Like its predecessor, Mob Psycho 100 was also created by mangaka ONE and its started its domination of the manga industry via Weekly Shōnen Sunday in early spring 2012. Now production company Bones has adapted this visually stunning and incredibly funny webcomic into a series, which is set to premiere on July 11th.
Mob Psycho 100 follows the story of Kageyama Shigeo a.k.a. Mob, your typical ESP-equipped eighth grader who from time to time gets too emotional and explodes, LITERALLY. As a result, he stops using his abilities in public due to the negative attention he keeps getting. Now the only thing he wants is to get close to a girl in his class named Tsubomi. With the help of his psychic mentor – who somehow has no psychic powers – he continues his daily life, attempting to realize his purpose in life while getting close to Tsubomi.
