LeVar Burton, of Reading Rainbow and Star Trek: The Next Generation, fame, took to the Ubisoft stage today to unveil Star Trek Bridge Crew, a first-person team-based VR exclusive set aboard the Starship Enterprise. The crew trailer, which you can watch below, shows off some of the ways you can expect to interact with your team on deck.
Like Space Team and a few other spaceship games, each player will take on a specific role. One player might helm the ship as Captain, while another controls the shields or the warp drive. For fans of Star Trek, being actually on board the iconic vessel should be a delight.
This delight may not be long lived though, as soon as you start yelling at your ensign to raise shields against a Klingon assault. Expect lots to scream and throw blame when the game comes out this fall.
