Community Development Representative

About your role:

You will be a part of a fantastic community team focused on working with various game communities. The role will center on generating original, game-related content. This will require creating articles, blog posts (presented in the voice of the community), as well as helping us to seed activity and engagement in new game communities on FANDOM. We focus on all kinds of popular games whether they be triple A or indie titles.

In addition to the above, our Community Development team supports our Sales, Editorial and Marketing teams with official programming and partnerships – you can expect to be called upon to support the Sales and Marketing teams with these opportunities, as well.

You will:

  • Create content for our wikis
  • Work directly with wikitext
  • Stay abreast of all the happenings in the world of video gaming including release dates, buzz and gameplay
  • Work with SEO team to understand SEO and make content as search friendly as possible
  • Work independently
  • Work directly with Sales, Marketing and our Content teams to create original programming to support the business

You are…

  • Fluent in the world of gaming
  • Native proficiency in English
  • Excited about finding new fans and engaging with our current game communities
  • Collaborative and able to manage your priorities with skill
  • Able to learn (if you don’t already know) wikitext
  • Able to talk tech
  • Familiar with social networking and what it means to have an online presence

Bonus points if you... 

  • Are skilled in Photoshop or similar programs
  • Have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS
  • Have a social media presence
