What Is ‘The Nice Guys’?

My video review for Shane Black’s latest cult classic The Nice Guys is above. Please watch it, share it, like it, Tweet it, or whatever other neat things the kids are doing on social media these days. This is the movie that audiences need to invest their hard-earned time and money into because it doesn’t fit into a box. At least not any box we’re used to having Hollywood offer us. It’s a very R-rated romp through 1977 Los Angeles and a showcase for Ryan Gosling’s comedic genius. This is a movie for those of us who like not to be told what to like, and those among us who are a little numbed by all the special effects and bombast out there. It may be a little uneven and quaint by today’s standards, which is kind of the point.
