After the mind-bending Season Two finale, viewers of Westworld are left with several questions, wondering where the show goes from here.
Rebuilding Westworld
The Westworld park is obviously an important part of the show, but since it was so badly damaged and Dolores is now in charge, albeit operating as Charlotte, we’re left to wonder if Westworld will be rebuilt. How will the slaughter of innocent guests be handled in the outside world? A lot of threads are left untied at the close of the season, but the Westworld park is a main component of the show and we don’t want to let that go just yet.
The Digital Valley Beyond
After getting just a glimpse of the Valley Beyond, we’re left wanting more. What happened to Teddy, Akecheta, Kohana, Maeve’s daughter, and the other characters that went through the door? Have they all effectively been written off the show and received their happy ending so to speak? Will these characters learn to work together in this paradise? Is it truly a paradise or will there be something more to it? We’d also like to know precisely what Dolores meant when she stated that she changed the coordinates so that it would never be found.
The Real World
With Dolores and Bernard now in the real world, what type of changes will Dolores initiate that affects Westworld, the hosts, and the Delos Corporation as a whole? It will be interesting to see how these hosts interact out in the real world and if anyone catches on to the fact that they are, indeed, hosts. The real world opens countless possibilities and it feels as if the game board has just expanded exponentially. Will Dolores and Bernard make new hosts, slowly integrating them into society? Does Delores inhabit both her Evan Rachel Wood-shaped body as well as the Tessa Thompson-shaped Charlotte?
Ashley and His Secret
A scene that some may have overlooked in the Season Two finale is the conversation that took place between quality assurance security chief Ashley Stubbs and Dolores (masquerading as Charlotte). Did Stubbs actually reveal to her that he’s a host or did he simply let Dolores know that he’s aware of what’s going on? If he is a host, are there other park employees that Ford programmed? It seems as if Stubbs has a story to tell and we’re interested in learning all about it.
William and His Daughter

The Season Two finale left viewers stunned and confused with a post-credits scene involving the Man in Black and his daughter, Emily. For Season Three, we’d like to find out categorically if William is a host or if he’s involved in a type of arrangement similar to James Delos. Ed Harris, who plays William, told USA Today that the post-credits scene is set “way into the future” meaning that “the Man in Black (is) deceased”. He added, “Whether he’s a host or some other being I wouldn’t know.”
The fact remains that William certainly took a beating throughout the entirety of Season Two and if he truly killed his daughter, we believe he’ll begin to unravel faster on the mainland. If this season taught us anything, it’s that you can never underestimate the Man in Black.
Logan
Yes, we were happy that Logan came back for season two. Unfortunately, it just didn’t satisfy our love of the character. We’ve been told on a few occasions now that Logan died of an overdose years ago. However, in true Westworld fashion, an interesting twist would be if he faked his death by using a host. If Logan were still alive, about the same age as William, seeing them go head-to-head would make for interesting TV, to say the least. Who knows? Maybe Logan is the person pulling the strings in the post-credits scene.
The Opportunity to See Different Parks
We know there are more parks than just Westworld, Shogun World, and The Raj. They’ve been teased. You can read about the parks we hoped to see in Season Two here, some of which may yet make an appearance in Season Three. Learning about other parks would further expand on the mythos of Westworld and would add yet more layers to the show. Would we see similar characters again – just like how Maeve and company saw their Shogun counterparts — or would we be introduced to new characters? Since Westworld goes back and forth with the timeline, how easy can viewers keep up if there are numerous stories told concurrently from not only more parks, but the Valley Beyond, and the real world too?
More Maeve and Co.
Just as in Season One, Maeve continues to be the standout star of the show. Stealing each scene she’s in, Maeve demands the viewers’ attention and is a fan-favourite. It was amazing to learn that Ford programmed Maeve to escape the park, yet she used her own free will to go back and search for her daughter. Her heroic action of saving the hosts and watching her daughter go through the door is one of the best scenes from the finale, but it leaves us wondering if she’ll ever reunite with her daughter.
Is it possible for any character to get a happy ending on this show? We feel quite certain that Felix and Sylvester will bring back Maeve, Hector, Armistice, Hanaryo, and hopefully Clementine. How will these characters interact? We’d like to see them working together next season and maybe even go up against Delores.
