Marvel unveiled the trailer for their second Phase 3 film, Doctor Strange this week.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange tells the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, attempts to heal himself and makes an incredible discovery that will change his life, and the world, forever.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen its share of oddities — mythological gods, extraterrestrials, super-powered Inhumans, and much more — but Doctor Strange is significant because it’s the movie that introduces the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Ratchet & Clank Are Back

Ratchet & Clank are back! This week brought the release of the anticipated re-imagining of the original game, and fans can look forward to an upcoming animated movie based on the origin story of the duo.

It seems like forever since we had a Ratchet & Clank game, though it’s only been just over two years since the bite-sized Into the Nexus hit. The third-person action adventure franchise is a mix of platforming, shooting, puzzles and some role-playing elements, all set in a fun-for-the-whole-family sci-fi world. It’s been notable not just for its unique gameplay, charm and humor, but also because it’s one of the few remaining platforming franchises available on the PlayStation.

BBC’s sci-fi thriller Orphan Black returned with its fourth season premiere on Thursday, “The Collapse of Nature.” Mild spoilers if you haven’t seen it: After two months of respite, Sarah’s hard-won refuge in Iceland is shattered by a Neolution attack. Once again forced to flee, she realizes no matter how far her family runs it will never be far enough. The big event of Season 4’s premiere is the reveal of a new clone, M.K., who will remain a fixture this season.
