‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7: What We Want to See

It’s been over a month since the Season 6 finale, and Walking Dead fans are still angry about being left hanging in one of the biggest TV cliffhangers ever. We can’t wait to have the BIG question answered, but there are other things we want to see next season, too.

Here’s a list of the major things we want to see in Season 7 of The Walking Dead.

Negan’s Kill

Negan

Obviously.  What we don’t want is a season premiere that starts in Alexandria, or wherever Morgan and Carol have gone. It teased and teased to the point where we NEED to see the death before we see anything else. Have you even seen all the fan theories on YouTube about who Negan killed? Now, it should go without saying, but even though we know who he killed in the comics, that doesn’t mean that it will be the same person in the show (we saw this happen when Denise died instead of Abraham’s), so it could be anyone who got Lucille to the head.

The Sanctuary

The Saviors

For those of you who don’t read the comics, and have no clue what The Sanctuary is, it’s basically a factory that Negan and the Saviors live in. They have walkers protecting the walls, and it is huge. We’ve already seen that Negan has a lot of followers, so it only makes sense that they would have a compound as big as this to live in. Lots of things go on at the Sanctuary including ‘ironing’ — Negan pressing a scalding iron to someone’s face before pulling it off and peeling the skin away (this is what happened to Dwight and that’s why half his face is burnt the second time we see him). This is a big part of the comics, like the prison and Alexandria, so to see it on the show would be a thrill for fans.

Negan’s Wives

Negan’s wives… the position is voluntary, and they can leave whenever they want, but most decide to stay with him, so they don’t have to go back to working for a meal. If one of his wives cheats on him with their former lover, then they will get the choice to stay with him (their former lover will be ironed if they decide to stay), or to go back and work for a meal. Negan’s wives are important in the comics, and a big part of who Negan is as person, so seeing this in the show would give his character more depth and allow non-comic and comic readers to see who Negan is when he’s not brutally killing people with Lucille.

The Kingdom and Ezekiel

The Kingdom

The Kingdom is a community of survivors who live in a high school surrounded by a wall of buses and sheets of metal. It is the second largest settlement after The Hilltop. We may have already seen people from The Kingdom in the Season 6 finale — those two men who were wearing armor that met Morgan and Carol. The community is a big part of the comics — they are allies of Alexandria and The Hilltop. Their leader, Ezekiel, is known in the community as “King” Ezekiel — he has a pet tiger, Shiva. Hopefully, we’ll be introduced to The Kingdom, Ezekiel, and Shiva in Season 7.

Negan and Carl’s Relationship

Negan and Carl

Carl absolutely hates Negan (for obvious reasons). In the comics, he even sneaks into the back of Negan’s truck intending to kill him. Negan, on the other hand, appears to admire Carl because of how hardened he is. He even seems apologetic after making fun of Carl’s exposed gun shot wound. Carl regularly visits Negan in his cell after Rick captures him, and they become closer. Carl even tells Negan about the girl he has a crush on. I’d love to see this relationship in the show. It gives Carl an interesting dimension, and allows the audience to see Negan as more than just a monster.

The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres in October.
