The third Kung Fu Panda movie debuts in theaters today, following the story of our favorite panda, Po. This time, Po is no longer a student; he is a master who has to train a group of adorably clumsy young pandas to become the next generation of fighters to take down the evil, power-hungry warrior Kai.

Fortunately, Po knows the best motivator of all: DUMPLINGS! In honor of the movie’s release, we created the ultimate Kung Fu Panda inspired menu that will power his panda army to victory.

Steamed Pork Dumplings

Po has to go through the ultimate test in his Dragon Warrior training with Shifu — a chopstick sparring battle for a bowl full of delectable steamed dumplings. Dumplings happen to be Po’s favorite food and these tasty morsels are what ultimately push Po to demonstrate his combat capabilities. Make these kung-fu-tastic ginger pork steamed dumplings in honor of our favorite panda, who really earned his dumplings.

Panda Rice Balls

In Kung Fu Panda 3, Po has to turn tiny, untrained, clumsy pandas into fearsome fighters. Create your own panda army at home — a panda rice ball army, that is! These pandalicious rice balls couldn’t be cuter or easier to make. You can even have your friends or family join in on the fun of making these rice balls, which can be filled with any meat or vegetable that you choose.

“Top Secret” Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup

When Po isn’t kicking kung-fu butt, he’s working in Mr. Ping’s noodle shop. They fill steaming pots of flavorful broth with freshly made noodles and chopped vegetables along with a TOP SECRET ingredient…

Mr. Ping: The secret ingredient is… nothing!
Po: Huh?
Mr. Ping: You heard me. Nothing! There is no secret ingredient.
Po: Wait, wait… it’s just plain old noodle soup? You don’t add some kind of special sauce or something?
Mr. Ping: Don’t have to. To make something special you just have to believe it’s special.

Make our Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup and if you believe that it’s special, it will be a true hit!

Apple-Cinnamon Dessert Wontons

No one can eat dumplings like Po can. That is until Kung Fu Panda 3, when another strange, large panda emerges from the screaming crowd to claim victory in a dumpling-eating contest. That mysterious stranger turns out to be Li Shan, Po’s biological father. To complement the savory dumplings we made for Po, make these sweet dumplings for his big, lovable dad. These apple-cinnamon wontons are so good that you might have to hold your own dumpling contest to see who can eat the most!

Green Tea Gimlet

In the Sacred Scrolls, there are tens of thousands of kung fu techniques, which are kept in the Cave of Mysteries. The very first scroll — perhaps the most important scroll of all — explains how to properly make tea. The scrolls don’t, however, explain how to make this Green Tea Gimlet. But that’s where we come in! Matcha powder, lime juice, and gin are what make this cocktail so tea-licious.
