FANDOM has gotten a sneak peak of Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell and we are VERY excited about the return of the giant man-eating worms. A Cold Day In Hell is the sixth installment in the Tremors franchise, which debuted in the early ’90s.

Michael Gross (of Family Ties fame) returns to the franchise as Burt Gummer. He’s joined by son Travis Welker, played by Jamie Kennedy (The Jamie Kennedy Experiment). The giant worms — aka Graboids — have migrated from warmer climates to the arctic Canadian tundra. Someone has also weaponized the creatures. While trying to figure out the truth behind these mysteries, Burt is sidelined by a nice healthy dose of Graboid venom. With only 48 hours to live, Burt must create an antidote from new venom. That begs the question, how do you collect venom from a very large human-eating worm?

Here are three things we are most pumped for in Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell

The Cast

Gross has been a part of the franchise from the beginning and might just be here until the end. Kennedy joined in Tremors 5: Bloodlines.

In addition to the OG characters, they’re joined by Tremors newcomers: Tanya van Graan (Death Race: Inferno), Rob van Vuuren (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), and Greg Krick (Momentum). The new additions will have their work cut out for them.

A Fun Franchise

If you haven’t had the chance to watch any of the Tremors movies, now is your chance! The horror comedy franchise is filled with fun, action-packed adventures and laughs.

The first movie came out in 1990 and featured a young Kevin Bacon. (Editors note: Bacon will return to the franchise in the small screen series.) With each consequent film, the worms get deadlier and the missions to kill them more outlandish. The Tremors films have developed a cult following and it’s easy to see why.

The Monsters

The monsters in A Cold Day in Hell truly look like they are living up to the title. The hellish creatures look like something out of a nightmare. The terrors, who usually inhabit warmer climates, have migrated north. They’ve also somehow become venomous, making them even deadlier.

Check out three exclusive photos from the upcoming film below. We definitely wouldn’t want to run into these anytime soon!

Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell will be out in 2018 on Blu-Ray and On Demand, so you too can catch the Tremors.
