Supernatural returns to The CW this fall for a record 13th season!
The show’s executitve producers — Bob Singer and Andrew Dabb — attribute the show’s longevity to its two stars: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
“They’re both terrific actors, they pop on screen, and they work incredibly well together. They’re always there to carry the show,” Singer explained.
Dabb agreed. “The core to any show is the character,” the writer-turned-showunner said. “We may rearrange the deck chairs but it’s always them. As long as their true and engaged, fans will watch. At the end of the day, people are here to see Sam and Dean. This show lasting this long is to their credit.”
