Starship Troopers writer Ed Neumeier has been talking about the live-action future of the franchise, stating that a reboot could happen. Speaking at FANDOM’s Comic-Con Suite, Neumeier revealed that there are a couple of scripts floating around, and said “we might have another one.”

As for star Casper Van Dien – who plays Johnny Rico in the movies – he wants a Starship Troopers TV show set in Japan. And thinks it could replace Game of Thrones when that finally ends.

The full video can be watched above, while their latest animated franchise entry – Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars – is in theatres August 21, hits Digital August 22, and arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and 4k on September 19.
