In all the excited talk about The Last Of Us: Part II it’s easy to forget that one of the biggest pop culture icons will soon be swinging his way to PS4. In case it’s somehow passed you by, 2018 will see Spidey starring in his very own web-tastic adventure.

Developed by Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive creators, Insomniac Studios, yesterday’s Sony Paris Games Week conference revealed some interesting new info about the anticipated new super hero adventure.

Using our Spidey sense, we managed to track down one of the game’s creators – Community Director James Stevenson – and learned a few secrets about this ambitious new Marvel game.

You can check out the full video interview above. We don’t want to spoil it, but Stevenson reveals how the team aims to create the ultimate Peter Parker story and expresses his desire to recreate the exhilarating web slinging from PS2 classic, Spider-Man 2.  If that wasn’t cool enough, Stevenson also confirms our suspicions about a playable Mary Jane and announces that there are still many new villains to be revealed.

After the cameras stopped rolling, our excited interviewee even hinted that we might see a cameo from Stan Lee in the game. Webslingers crossed, eh?
