National City has a new hero in town.

On March 28th, 2016, Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen will be racing to National City to crossover with CBS’s Supergirl. Fans of the two shows have long speculated that a crossover would be imminent, but CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler ruled out the possibility in August, saying “we’re not doing it.”

It looks like the ‘it’ was a bit misleading.

Following up with CW’s ‘Flash of Two Worlds’ comic cover, which was a variation on another popular comic book cover, CBS recently released both the synopsis and a poster for the crossover. The poster pays homage to the 1967 comic Superman #199 in which Kara’s cousin, the very Man of Steel raced the Scarlet Speedster.

In the episode, we’re going to see National City’s own go face to face with the Silver Banshee and Livewire. The synopsis has also revealed that somehow the Flash is stuck in this alternate universe, with no way to return home.

Grant Gustin has also been teasing fans with some images of him with Melissa Benoist on his Instagram. You can see them here!

That hasn’t been the first tease fans have recieved. Viewers of CW’s Flash caught a glimpse of Supergirl as Barry Allen raced to Earth-2 in “Welcome to Earth-2.”

The episode’s synopsis, titled ‘World’s Finest,’ reads:

“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”

You can watch the episode on Monday, March 28th, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
