Nintendo has given a few more details about the second Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC, entitled The Champion’s Ballad. It’s not out until much later this year in the holiday season, but know we know a little more about it than we did at the E3 reveal.

Speaking at the Japan Expo in Paris, Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma revealed some details about The Champion’s Ballad, including the fact that you’ll play as Link.

Rumours had started to spread that suggested you may play as Zelda in the story-led second Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC pack, but it seems that you’ll still be Link after all. He did add that you will learn more about Zelda through this new journey, which takes place after the main story of Breath of the Wild.

It’s almost like a mini sequel in that it’ll pick up directly after the cutscene shown off at the end of the game, if you’ve collected all the hidden memories.

Take a look at the teeny tiny snippets of development footage shown off on the Nintendo Twitter account:

Interestingly, Nintendo also confirmed that the DLC will be bringing back Link’s Lobster Shirt from Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as part of the DLC.

At E3, Nintendo confirmed the game will feature all the Champions from the main game and the singing bird man you’ll have no doubt found lurking all over Hyrule.

Nintendo also confirmed there are special amiibo arriving to celebrate this DLC launch, with one for each of the Divine Beats pilots: Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa.

The first Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC pack, The Master Trials, launched last week and has already proved popular with fans – even if the Master Trials are proving incredibly tricky. We particularly love the Hero’s Journey, which shows you exactly where you’ve been around Hyrule.
