SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers from the sixth episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 3. Proceed with caution.

Ru-demption alert!

The eliminated queens from Season 3 of All-Stars — Morgan McMichaels, Thorgy Thor, Milk, Chi Chi DeVayne, and Aja — were offered a chance to re-enter the competition.

The winner of this week’s challenge was allowed to return, and eliminate one of the still-standing queens. The top 2 — for a second week in a row — were Bebe Zahara Benet and BenDeLaCreme. They had the unenviable task of picking someone to come back, and someone to go home.

BenDeLaCreme won the lip sync, and in a surprise move, brought the first eliminated queen back. That meant Morgan McMichaels could once again compete for the crown and $100,000 prize.

But an even bigger surprise was to come.

After the remaining queens — Shangela, Kennedy Davenport, and Trixie Mattel — were brought forward, Ben chose to eliminate .. herself.

“It just doesn’t feel fair to send any of these girls home,” BenDeLaCreme explained. “This idea makes zero sense to me.” Everyone in the room, from the contestants to the panel and Ru herself, were stunned. “I think the actual title is more important to them than me.”

“You guys win I won,” DeLa said to the girls as she said her farewells. In a sense, she did, having been in the top five out of six weeks. But now she won’t have a chance to win the crown or the cash prize.

Shangela, Kennedy and Trixie seemed stunned by BenDeLaCreme’s altruism, but others did not, notably Thorgy Thor. The online reaction was also mixed.
