The upcoming series 24: Legacy, sequel to hit show 24, had a huge presence at this year’s New York Comic-Con. Cast members Corey Hawkins (Evan Carter, ex-soldier), Miranda Otto (Rebecca Ingram, head of the CTU), and Jimmy Smits (John Donovan, Senator running for President) were all present. Producers Evan Katz, Manny Coto, and Howard Gordon were also all in attendance.

The crowd was ecstatic to see a 30-minute clip of the upcoming first episode that seemed to recapture the feeling of the original. It was also announced that beloved character Tony Almeida will be returning to the series. The cast and crew discuss their characters, influences, their love of the original show, and how 24 will continue to stay topical several years after the conclusion of the original series. Discussing the series’ central theme of battling terrorism, Coto commented, “It’s a subject that unfortunately never goes away.”
