New ‘Wonder Woman’ Photos

New photos have emerged from the upcoming DCEU Wonder Woman.  Four new photos were released in total and show Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) dawning an updated version of the iconic outfit complete with sword, shield, and bracelets.  Visible in one of the images is what appears to be her legendary lasso.

In the comics, Wonder Woman’s bracelets are indestructible, the lasso forces people to tell the truth, and her sword is sharp enough to cut the atoms off of an electron.  The trademark tiara can be used as a projectile and controls her invisible jet.  DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson assured the press that the jet will not be present in this film.

Also included in our sneak peak is a photo of Chris Pine (Star Trek) who is slated to play Steve Trevor, a fixture in the DC comics Wonder Women series.  Pine will join Robin Wright (House of Cards), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead), and Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) in the 4th film of the new DC Extended Universe.  It will follow Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which were met with mixed reviews, and the upcoming Suicide Squad.  Wonder Women will be unleashed in theaters next summer.

We got an early idea of Gadot’s Wonder Women getup in the Dawn of Justice movie where she made an appearance to help Batman and Superman fight Doomsday in an epic battle that led to Superman’s (at least temporary) demise.  The new photos are from location in the Europe and, according to reports, the film is in the can.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster) and written by Allen Heinberg (Gray’s Anatomy).
