New ‘Justice League’ Image Shows Us a New Location

Justice League is having a real problem. It can’t get people excited for what should be the biggest DC film of all time. The images we’ve seen have all featured the characters standing around and not doing much of anything. Plus, they all seem to take place in the same industrial setting and that’s not very enthralling.

Maybe this new image will get someone pumped for this movie? Give it a look and see what you think:

Well, they still can’t get away from the “everyone standing around” setup. At least this pic has Wonder Woman and Cyborg looking ready for battle. I guess it’s cool to see Cyborg’s hand turn into… something? And Aquaman‘s armor looks pretty cool. …Yeah, not a whole lot on that front making things exciting.

However, the setting is new! It definitely looks like the Kryptonian style (*cough*ripping off H.R. Giger’s designs from Alien*cough*) we’ve become familiar with. But, could that be untrue? We know that the villain of the film will be the New God Steppenwolf, and it’s unlikely he’d be backpacking on some Kryptonian tech. Granted, he did show up in the Kryptonian ship in the R-rated cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Who knows?

DC needs Justice League to be a slam dunk. Things are looking very dire in the DC Extended Universe and Justice League‘s failure would be a big nail in the coffin. We’ll surely know a lot more once Wonder Woman gets closer to its June release. If that can regenerate some fervor for these films, it will help Justice League a lot. Until then, we’ll just have to make do with lots of pictures of people standing around.
