Zoe Saldana is no stranger to genre films. She’s played notable characters in several huge franchises, including Uhura in Star Trek, Gamorra in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and Neytiri in Avatar. The actress is now lending her vocal talents to a brand new role: Captain Celaeno in the upcoming My Little Pony: The Movie adventure.

In Greek mythology, Celaeno is a harpy who advises the hero Aeneas. In My Little Pony, she’s a parrot pirate who rediscovers who she truly is. Her character description below:

Once brash and bold explorers, Captain Celaeno and her crew are now relegated to serving as mere messengers for the Storm King. But all that changes when Captain Celaeno discovers the ponies aboard her ship. They remind her of how awesome she once was and encourage her to return to her adventurous and courageous ways. In the end, the Captain and her crew play a vital role in helping Princess Twilight and her friends save Equestria from the Storm King.

Check out an exclusive character poster of Captain Celaeno below.

FANDOM also has character posters for two more characters: Spike the Dragon (voiced by Cathy Weseluck), who is more friendly than fierce; and Fluttershy (voiced by Andrea Libman), a gentle and kind spirit and loyal pony.

Learn more about them and see their exclusive art below.

Under orders from Princess Celestia, Spike the Dragon joined Twilight Sparkle when she relocated from Canterlot to Ponyville. He has an incurable crush on Rarity and an insatiable appetite for sparkly gems. While Spike is the fire-breathing type of dragon, he does not resemble his fearsome reptilian brethren found throughout Equestria, and his origins remain a mystery. Found orphaned as an egg and accepted by Ponykind, Spike is uncertain of his destiny but resolute in his devotion to Twilight Sparkle.

Fluttershy is gentle and kind. Her sweetness and sincerity can charm any animal, from tiny woodland creatures to the most powerful, menacing storm creatures, making her an asset to her friends in all their adventures. Although she sometimes lacks confidence in herself, she has an inner strength that comes out when others are in trouble. Fluttershy represents the Element of Kindness.

My Little Pony: The Movie opens in theaters in the U.S. on October 6.
