Meet the New Characters of ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’

Kung Fu Panda 3 hits North American movie theaters this weekend. The sequel reunites fans of the animated franchise with Po (Jack Black), a food-obsessed panda on a quest to master the art of kung fu, while expanding the Kung Fu Panda crew with three new characters.

In Kung Fu Panda 2, we saw the secret panda village where Po’s birth father lives. The new movie takes us there again as Po reunites with his dad, Li (Bryan Cranston), and the two travel home together. They meet Mei Mei (Kate Hudson), the first girl of his species that Po’s ever been around. It’s not all fun and panda games, however, when the evil Kai (J.K. Simmons) arrives with his sights set on defeating Po.
