Two weeks before the official launch, the Mass Effect Andromeda launch trailer is here and brings with it a serious spoiler bomb. If you want to keep the details of the Andromeda storyline under wraps, you might want to look away now.

The trailer, as you will see below, gives us a look at the game’s storyline for the last time before its release on March 21 in the US, and March 23 in the UK.

It’s made up of footage taken from the game’s earliest cutscenes and reveals the fate of the Golden Worlds – aka Habitat 1-7, the planets earmarked for humanity’s new home.

The trailer also shows off Andromeda‘s protagonist, Kett Archon and other members of the new race. There’s even a shot of protagonist Scott Ryder sharing an intimate moment with Asari Peebee, our new favourite character from Andromeda.

Fight for your new home

Aside from that, the launch trailer is quite the montage of explosions and fight scenes, ramping up the hype for the dramatic events that no doubt unfold in the upcoming Mass Effect game.

The basic storyline for Mass Effect Andromeda is that you play as either Scott or Sara Ryder, who have just become the new Pathfinder on the mission to find humanity a new home in the Andromeda Galaxy.

But, of course, not quite everything goes as planned, forcing Ryder and crew to face dangerous new foes, explore unknown territories and protect each other as they explore Andromeda’s various mysteries.

If you want to find out more about Mass Effect Andromeda, there will be a special PAX East BioWare panel that will be live-streamed via the BioWare website.

Mass Effect Andromeda is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on March 21 in the US and March 23 in Europe.
