For Honor — Ubisoft’s upcoming multiplayer melee brawler that pits Vikings against Samurai against Knights in a brutal battle for supremacy — is having a closed beta this weekend. Maybe you were lucky enough to score an invite, but if not, Fandom’s offering you virtual front-row seats. We’ve partnered with three well-known streamers to simul-stream their beta gameplay at 12pm PT this Friday, January 27.

[Update: The archived videos from Friday’s streams are now embedded below.]

What’s more, these streamers — Kinda Funny, StoneMountain64, and Fairlight_Excalibur — will be repping Team Fandom in a weeks-long War of the Factions leading up to the release of For Honor on February 14.

What Is the War of the Factions?

Ubisoft is billing War of the Factions as the “world’s largest cross-platform battleground.” Basically, all players who participate in the For Honor beta pre-release will pledge themselves to one of the three in-game factions. Then, every victory you eke out — even if you’re playing a character from another faction — will contribute to your pledged faction’s War Assets pool.

This video explains the competition in more detail:

Each of our streamers has pledged themselves to a different faction. To make a pledge yourself, sign up for the beta now.

In a massive war between factions you’ll want your best friends by your side, and the crew at Kinda Funny are as tight as it gets. Greg, Colin, Tim, Nick (and sometimes Kevin!) bring different styles and sensibilities to the battlefield. Together they’re mighty, but is their combined strength enough to win out?

StoneMountain64 (Vikings)

When it comes to YOLO commentary and insane top plays, StoneMountain64 is king. He can no-scope you from across the map while cracking up everyone in the server, but will his quick trigger finger and sharp wit be enough to reign supreme against sword and axe-wielding armies?

Fairlight_Excalibur (Knights)

One of Twitch’s most thoughtful broadcasters, Fairlight_Excalibur is known for rapid deep dives into highly complex action and survival games. His sophisticated and analytical commentary on games comes from a love of study, which can be seen in all aspects of his life, from his shoutcasting work on Ark to his dedication to the martial arts. One thing is certain — when Fairlight speaks, he is right.
