If you liked Key and Peele, prepare for Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s next comedic venture: Keanu. The setup is dead simple: Two friends must infiltrate a deadly street gang to get back their precious kitten, Keanu. Check out the red band trailer below, but be prepared for some NSFW language, racial slurs and violence.
The power duo of Key and Peele are still in top form here, and Will Forte looks be taking his Spring Breakers turn as scuzzy drug dealer. And if you’re thinking that this looks like a feature-length sketch from Key and Peele, then we’re on the same wavelength. But y’know what? Director Peter Atencio’s work on Key and Peele always looked glossy and cinematic, and now his talents are gonna end up where they belong: in cinemas.
