New key art for The Defenders has arrived – and it has the team looking pretty sultry in the black and white image. Take a look:

The Defenders trailer landed this week, and now Netflix has released some new images which give us a closer look at what we can expect from the series.
In the trailer, we had our first peek at Sigourney Weaver’s shadowy, sinister villain Alexandra. We’re not gonna lie, she looks like she’s really going to f*** s*** up. But it also gave us some clues as to what it is that’s actually brought our heroes together.
The series assembles Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist who – a little reluctantly – come together to do battle as a team.
As the official synopsis goes:
Marvel’s 'The Defenders' follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
So let's take a look at those pictures, shall we?
Here's the foursome quietly enjoying a meal together, in an empty restaurant. We're not sure whether that means the food is no good in this particular establishment, or what. Maybe they've pitched up during unsociable hours, or perhaps they've gone all-out and hired the entire place. Heck, this is a pretty important meeting and they're discussing some sensitive stuff, right? In the trailer, we see this scene and they're definitely talking about each other's special powers. Anyway, we're betting it's not long before their dinner is interrupted...
Oh yeah, here we go. Scott Glenn's blind sensei Stick has turned up and it looks like he's not the only one. Trouble's definitely brewing – those are some mean fighting stances. And they've cleared a spot to tackle it so hopefully no furniture's going to get damaged in the fray...
Superheroes always have to fight one another when they meet, right? And here's Iron Fist squaring up to Luke Cage:
The guys might look like they're gearing up to clear a warehouse with the cluttered setting and sensible clothes, but we're betting something more interesting is going down:
Luke Cage and Daredevil do a spot of staking out:
A still from the trailer scene we saw, which sees Jessica Jones in trouble for screwing up an investigation and getting a key witness killed. Good old Matt Murdock steps in as her lawyer:
Aww, these guys:
We're not quite sure why Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra has draped her scarf around her in this unconventional way but we're presuming she's not using it as a bib – although she does look to have a pretty glam outfit on underneath. Whatever, that look in her eyes means business:
Marvel's 'The Defenders' consists of 8 episodes and premieres on Netflix on August 18.
