Robert Knepper, who had a recurring role as Angus McDonough on Season 2 and 3 of iZOMBiE, is being promoted to a series regular for Season 4 of The CW’s zombie/comedy/romance/drama.

Creator Rob Thomas dropped the news today for fans gathered in Ballroom 20 for the show’s Comic-Con panel. Thomas introduced a recorded greeting from Knepper who addressed David Anders’ Blaine.

“Blaine, all is forgiven,” Knepper said with a menacing laugh.

Thomas said Knepper’s Angus will be one of the major villains on the show this season. “Angus is going to get out and be up to no good. He’s going to have some very violent, hardcore pro-zombie people on his side.”

Knepper, who recently reprised his role as T-Bag in the Prison Break revival, can currently be seen in Twin Peaks: The Return.

iZOMBiE returns mid-season with all-new episodes on The CW.
