Hugh Jackman Brings Barnum to Life Onscreen in ‘The Greatest Showman’ Trailer

The first trailer for The Greatest Showman has been released online and can be viewed above. The film – which stars Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson – is a period-piece which tells the story of legendary circus man P.T. Barnum.

Barnum was a businessman, politician, author and showman who founded the legendary Barnum and Bailey Circus.

This film about his life is also a musical, with songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who were responsible for the La La Land soundtrack.

The Greatest Showman hits U.S. screens on December 25 – just in time for the Oscars – while it will be released in the U.K. on January 1, with the synopsis as follows…
