Hasbro Launches HASCON Fan Event

Hasbro, one of the largest toy companies in the world, has announced their first ever fan and family convention known as HASCON. The three-day event will take place over the weekend of September 8-10 2017. HASCON will occupy both the Rhode Island Convention Center, as well as the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

“Hasbro is home to many of the world’s most recognizable brands, each of them with their own group of passionate and engaged fans,” said John Frascotti, President of Hasbro Brands. “HASCON will deliver an extraordinary peek behind the curtain of our brands, storytelling, and iconic characters while giving us the opportunity to invite fans and families to our hometown for the most memorable, unified Hasbro experience ever.”

Hasbro have billed the event as a celebration of their wide range of franchises and brands. HASCON will include live interactive experiences and exclusive product reveals, along with appearances by Hasbro-related talent, and panels. The inaugural HASCON will offer the chance for fans to explore their favorite characters and storyines. The agenda will include stage performances and other opportunities for fans to interact with their favorite franchises. Fans will also be given first-look previews at Hasbro’s forthcoming television and movie series. Opportunities to meet celebrities and creative talent will also be available. Attendees can also enter special Hasbro Gaming competitions, and buy limited-edition products.

Hasbro owns some of the biggest toy and cartoon franchises currently on the market. These include G.I. Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, Magic The Gathering, Play-Doh, Monopoly, and M.A.S.K. Hasbro also produces toys under license for Marvel and Disney, including superhero action figures in addition to figures and vehicles for the upcoming Star Wars film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
