The Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show is coming to Los Angeles from June 12 to 14. And you know what that means: announcements about upcoming video games, trailers for upcoming video games, and gameplay videos of upcoming games.
Equally important for those of us who like to display our gaming passions on our shelves and desks, E3 also means a bunch of exclusive new offerings from Funko, the creators of shelf-sized, plastic nostalgia. They’ve just revealed almost all of the figures that will be available on the show floor at the Funko and GameStop booth and later in GameStop stores. We say “almost” because Funko is saving one for the big show — but we already have enough to get us bracing our wallets for impact.

Mega Man: Black Hole Bomb
The iconic robot hero of the upcoming Mega Man 11 isn’t always “the Blue Bomber.” It depends on which special ability he has equipped. This pixelated Pop showcases the purple get-up he sports after defeating Galaxy Man in Mega Man 9. The Black Hole Bomb fires remote-controlled projectiles that pull enemies — and their bullets — into a gravity well. Some might say this weapon sucks, but in this case, that’s a good thing. You can grab this one at E3 or in stores starting June 12.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Super Shadow
Most gamers associate Shadow the Hedgehog with his eponymous game, which added guns to the usual speed-based heroics. But before he was packing heat, Shadow appeared in Sonic Adventure 2, where we got our first look at this super form. He activates it by tapping into the arcane energies of the Chaos Emeralds. The normally black-furred Shadow doesn’t need weapons when he gets all golden and glowy like this; he is the weapon. Unfortunately, store shelves can’t contain a Pop this mighty, so you’ll have to be at E3 this year to score one.
Cuphead: King Dice (Gold Edition)
King Dice is one of the main villains in the ‘30s-styled cartoon platformer Cuphead. The only person scarier in the game than this mustachioed jerk is the actual Devil. He makes heroes Cuphead and Mugman meet a bunch of conditions before he’ll face them himself. This special gold version of the character captures his conniving and evil personality while adding a bit of shininess to really get across the opulence and greed he values so much. Unlike real gold, however, this figure won’t be rare, and you can grab it at your local GameStop starting June 12 if you can’t make it to E3.
Cuphead: Legendary Chalice
Cuphead’s Legendary Chalice appears in the Mausoleum levels and rewards the drink-topped heroes with special, extra-powerful moves once they free her. She’s a special lady, if you couldn’t tell from the “Legendary” part. This E3-exclusive Pop at the Funko and GameStop booth won’t give you any Super Arts if you manage to get one, but you can still count yourself special since Funko is only making 1,500 of them. It also glows in the dark, so it’s just amazing all over.
Halo: Master Chief with Active Camo
Halo hero Master Chief is one of the most iconic modern video game characters. He’s so recognizable, in fact, that this Pop doesn’t even need to be visible for you to tell it’s him. This variant features the series’ “active camouflage,” which makes the super-soldier invisible to enemies so that he can get the drop on them. It basically turns him into the alien from Predator, but with even more weapons. Fans who won’t be at E3 can snag one of these transparent beauties at their nearest GameStop as well beginning on June 12.
Fallout, Deadpool, and Kingdom Hearts Boxed Shirts
These t-shirts with Funko-ized versions of your favorite characters each come in their own distinctive box, which doubles as a collectible itself. Choose from a Fallout shirt with a Vault Box package (exclusive to the Funko and GameStop E3 booth), a Deadpool shirt with a Chimichanga Truck package, or a Kingdom Hearts shirt with a Treasure Box package. (Note: Box Tees will vary by store.)
Cuphead Lady Chalice Shirt
Funko’s once-secret, E3 exclusive t-shirt celebrates the new content coming to mad-hard platformer Cuphead. An update will add another island to explore and a new playable character: Ms. Chalice. She’s an even more anthropomorphic version of the game’s Legendary Chalice, by which we mean she has a torso and legs. And a straw because that’s just standard for cup-people. The new shirt comes in special playing-card-styled packaging. Quantities are limited, so if you’re at E3 and you want this shirt, you should seek it out pronto.
