Ever since Supergirl debuted on CBS, fans have been praying that the other Greg Berlanti produced DC shows (ArrowThe Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow) on The CW would somehow be able to crossover. Start rejoicing! CBS announced today that The Flash will pay a visit to National City on the Mar. 28 episode of Supergirl.

Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg handles duties for both programs and has been an instrumental part of making this happen. With this crossover, Supergirl will officially join the Arrowverse. Will there be other connecting plots and characters that will make their way into the other CW shows? No word as of yet, but fans are happy nonetheless.

Supergirl has recently been bringing some great DC characters to life, the most surprising of all being the Martian Manhunter and the white Martians. What kind of threat will be so powerful that it takes both Kara Zor-El and the Scarlet Speedster to stop? My money is on Crazy Quilt.

Will this be a write-off stunt episode, though? What kind of major effect will The Flash have on the ongoing story of Supergirl and vice versa? It will certainly be a blast to see them together no matter what the circumstances, but here’s hoping the plot that Kreisberg and crew have in mind is more than just an easy gimmick. It would be a shame to waste such an epic meeting on a mostly worthless story.

And with Barry now single, will he develop a crush on Kara? The shipping begins!

Supergirl airs on Mondays at 8/7c on CBS. The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW. Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW. DC owns the entire week!
