Spider-Man: Homecoming is only seven months away. It’s exciting to know that we’re going to be getting a brand new take on everyone’s favorite web-slinging superhero. Even more exciting is that he’ll be playing around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ve been waiting to see the first footage from the film and now the wait is over. Check out this quick tease!

Looks like we were right about that upgrade to Spidey’s suit! How awesome is it to finally see that underarm webbing?!? And the style of this clip is pretty interesting. It looks like Peter is filming his meeting with Happy Hogan on his cell phone. What a teenager! But, that’s a great sign for the film’s tone and characters. We keep hearing about how Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be influenced by the movies of John Hughes. The filmmakers want to capture a high school kind of spirit. Peter freaking out about a new suit from Tony Stark and filming it feels so believable for the character.

Sony’s Spider-Man Hang-Up

We’re going to be getting a full trailer tomorrow but this is quite the tease. With the hype that’s building around this film, Spider-Man: Homecoming could become the breakout film of next summer. Sony definitely needs that to happen. Their weak handling of the property after Sam Raimi’s departure set them back in a big way. If this film is a monster hit, it will put them back on top. So far, everything looks good. Tom Holland could very well prove himself as the best Peter Parker to grace the big screen.

Keep your eyes peeled here at Fandom for when the trailer drops! Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing (or glide! GLIDE!) into theaters July 7, 2017.
