Gotham‘s Hugo Strange, played by B.D. Wong of Jurassic Park and Law & Order: SVU fame, has been revealed. A first look at the character was posted today on TV Insider.

When asked about his character’s nefarious actions in the upcoming recurring role on the series, Wong told the website, “Imagine the worst thing someone might do. Then multiply that by 10.”

Who exactly is Hugo Strange? Here’s more from DC Database

Professor Hugo Strange is a brilliant evil scientist and psychologist, one of Batman‘s greatest enemies. His prowess has led him to discover the dark knight’s secret identity and even assume his costume at points. In addition to his genius-level intelligence and skill in hand-to-hand combat, Strange has created super-strong Monster Men who do his bidding. Hugo Strange was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, first appearing in Detective Comics #36 (1940).

On Gotham, all we know right now is that the character will have something to do with Arkham Asylum, and that he’ll look a bit more like the Arkhamverse version of the character than his traditional comic appearance. Here’s a peek:
