We’re a little under a week away from Zoolander 2, and Paramount has released one final trailer to get crowds excited for the return of America’s favorite male model. Check it out:

Comedy sequels are an incredibly difficult thing to pull off. The number of truly great comedy sequels can probably be counted on one hand (Bill & Ted’s Bogus JourneyGremlins 2: The New BatchAddams Family Values, Army of Darkness), but it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility for Zoolander 2 to be a blast. With so many cast members returning and an increased budget, it’s sure to satisfy the die-hard Zoolander fans.

The first film released just a few weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, and it managed to serve as a silly salve to America’s wounds. Doing stupid humor well is a lot harder than it seems (see: Adam Sandler), and Ben Stiller has always been very adept at it. Add in Owen Wilson and comedy genius Will Ferrell and it’s unlikely that a few laughs won’t escape your mouth.

The only real danger in this trailer is a reliance on a lot of older gags. It’s one thing to make cheeky references to the original film, but it’s very easy to overload on those kinds of easy jokes real quick. Here’s hoping they’re saving a lot of stuff for the movie. Another big feature of Zoolander were the numerous cameos — including a scene-stealing David Bowie — so let’s hope those are also being kept under wraps. The Justin Bieber one we see here is pretty funny though.

Zoolander 2 will premiere at the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too. The rest of us will have to wait until Feb. 12.
