E3 2018 has officially kicked off, and FANDOM got to check out all of the announcements from Bethesda 2018 E3 showcase. Here is everything they announced and all the inside details. Their theme for the year is “Create,” and fans of Bethesda cannot deny that they are nothing if not creative, so nothing else needs to be said other than “This is Bethesda.”

Rage 2

Before unveiling their Rage sequel, Bethesda brought out rocker Andrew W.K. to get the crowd massively hyped for the showcase. The use of a live band and their flair for entertainment had everyone ready to jump into the most insane open-world shooter ever.

Let’s just say Rage 2 the sequel contains everything that the original has but turned up to 11. Mutants, global warming, and scarce resources have created a wasteland where every man or woman must fend for themselves. Every vehicle in the world is driveable, and the ones shown are wheeled death machines similar to those in Twisted Metal. The new tools for disabling, dismembering, and humor rival any open-world post-apocalyptic shooter we have ever seen. Between the over-the-top action, destruction, and explosions of color, Rage 2 is the post-apocalyptic game of mayhem that needs to be in our lives yesterday. It’s like Doom, Borderlands, and Destiny had a crazy night of fun, and their baby is due out in early 2019.

Fallout 76

Fallout 76’s new trailer was full of surprises, showcasing all sorts of great music, action, and new gameplay options. While the announcement trailer had fans feeling nostalgic with its tunes about country roads, designer Todd Howard came out and gave fans more than they were ready to handle. Fallout 76 is a prequel to every previous Fallout game, and we cannot wait to help shape the wasteland into what we have seen in the other games. 76 isn’t some small social game of base-building, It’s the real deal featuring a map four times the size of the all previous games. It’s up to players to rebuild America, but everyone who’s played 3 and 4 knows how that goes. It is one of the first vaults to open; we will be one of the very lucky few to spend our days in the vault to help shape the future.

Fallout 76 is the brightest and most colorful game in the franchise, we wake up and are the best and brightest and greatest hope to help reclaim the USA. The prequel takes place in West Virginia, and the overseer will be sending you across six different regions, and there will be tons of new creatures to keep even the most diehard fans surprised. We will be the first to explore the new world, and on top of that Fallout 76 will be entirely online, while you can play the entire game solo, but Bethesda is finally giving fans what they have always wanted, and that’s an open world survival online with friend and strangers. Death will never mean the loss of progression, you will be in a game with a dozen other players friends, and all progression will follow you regardless of where your playing.

Fallout With Friends

The action looks to be similar to recent Fallout releases but looks to be faster than ever; you will be able to form a party of 4 players in all fallout goodness. Whether your fighting random mutants or playing music, or crafting you will always have the option of having friends at your side. There will also be the option to build your camps just about anywhere you want, instead of at specified locations like the previous Fallout 4.  However there will be attacks on your base so don’t get too attached to it, you may need to move. New creatures like the mutated sloth and Scorch beast look to be just the beginning of Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 will also host multiple nuclear launch sites, so beware your neighbors, courtesy of Uncle Sam you can lay devastation to others in the world. It looks like acquiring launch codes will require friends to unleash havoc on your enemies. Regardless, take your crew and pillage the spoils but beware as always there are tons of hazards in the Fallout World.

Their more in-depth dive trailer for reclamation day showcased nearly everything we had been waiting to see. It will feature dedicated servers for a long time to come. The beta or Break it Early Test Application will be going live in the near future. Todd Howard also announced there would also be a special edition that includes a glow in the dark map, figures, and a power armor helmet with functional headlamp voice modifier in the power armor edition. It will be released on November 14, 2018.

Fallout Shelter

But that’s not all. For the Fallout: Shelter three-year anniversary, Bethesda made the game available on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch free of charge right now. FANDOM got some hands-on time with Shelter on Switch, and it looks and feels fantastic. The transition from mobile to Switch felt seamless; it appears that Shelter has gone through quite a few updates since we last touched it. This may be the perfect opportunity for fans wanting to play something Fallout that they may have missed before 76 releases in November.

Elder Scrolls: Legends

The strategy card game that has been awarded best mobile game of 2017 from Apple is coming to consoles and re-envisioned with better graphics. The future of Elder Scrolls: Legends looks to be interesting; it’s easy to pick up but hard to put down. It will appeal to fans of strategy, dragons, and magic.

Elder Scrolls Online

Right after the short showcase for Elder Scrolls: Legends, they jumped right into Elder Scrolls Online and its new DLCs Wolfhunter (focusing on werewolves), and later Murkmire (the return to Black Marsh). Their trailer showcasing Tamriel was nothing short of fire for fans of ESO. They showcased new abilities, mounts, and all sorts of new environments and enemies to the point that everything just screamed, “Get back into ESO or join now or miss out on the stuff of legends!”

Elder Scrolls: Blades

But wait there’s is more. Bethesda announced Elder Scrolls: Blades, a new first-person massive online game for Elder Scrolls on mobile. It looks to harken back to the first ES arena; it has dungeons that will allow you to utilize melee, magic and all sorts of weapons. You will be able to create your character and play the game entirely in portrait mode as well.

Blades looks great and will hopefully fill the void until we get Elder Scrolls VI. It features multiple modes Arena (PVP), Dungeons take players on endless randomized challenges, and a town mode that will be their way to impact the changes and evolution of a town. As towns do, players will be able to unlock new NPCs and get even more quests, etc. You will be able to play with friends online or against enemies and will be available for free on mobile, PC, and even VR. Early access starts soon so head to their website to check it out even earlier than its Fall 2018 launch.

Doom: Eternal

Just wow. There are so many badass visuals we can’t wait to see more of this terrifying demon-slaying sequel to 2016’s Doom. Doom: Eternal’s first official showing will be during Quake-con in Dallas later this year. We can’t wait to slaughter demons so don’t keep us waiting too long, okay Bethesda?

Quake: Champions

Right after Doom: Eternal, Bethesda wasted no time with jumping into Quake: Champions, stating that they “as one of the originals of esports” would be hosting major tournaments at QuakeCon and DreamHack Winter. The studio will be opening up Quake: Champions to all fans for free from June 10th to the 17th, and all participants will be able to play for free even after the initial early access period. The Free to Play version will still include all the maps and modes that are currently available in the Early Acess period. As a bonus, if players like what they sample, they can purchase the full Champions pack this week for roughly 20 dollars USD, to gain access to all current and future characters, some matchmaking modes, and other goodies that will be released down the road.

Quake: Champions looks to be back and better than ever, with its most diverse cast of characters ever, and high-octane powered combat that will forever be the king of fast-paced combat.

Prey: Mooncrash

Bethesda then showcased Prey and its new modes, DLC, and other new sweet surprises. Included in the next big update will be New Game+ and survival mode to give fans of the new update even more Prey to fill their space exploring lives with. There look to be new weapons, enemies, and every run of the survival mode will be unique. Prey: Mooncrash is available today, but that’s not all. Bethesda announced that Prey: Typhon Hunter will be coming later this year and be a tense multiplayer where five other players will be typhons and be able to disguise themselves to take out the one non-mimic. Oh, it’s worth mentioning that the Typhon Hunter will also be VR compatible.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood

After taking us back to space, Bethesda traveled to WW2’s alternate timeline featuring fan-favorite Nazi killer BJ Blaskowitz. For the first time in franchise history Wolfenstein: Youngbloods will be set in a different decade and showcase BJ’s twin daughters making the game co-op.  BJ’s daughters will be taking on the Nazis in the ’80s after BJ has gone missing.

To add on the Wolfenstein hype, Bethesda has added a VR experience. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is available to check out during E3. Players must hack Nazi machinery and turn them against their creators.

Starfield

Bethesda closed the show by unveiling a brand new franchise — the first in 25 years — titled Starfield. Instead of being on earth in either medieval times or post-apocalyptic, Starfield will take in … you guessed it, space.

Elder Scrolls VI

Elder Scrolls VI is coming, but their fantastic spot featuring Keegan-Michael Key playing Skryim via Alexa and his fridge is ridiculously funny. Also, we’d love to play Skyrim via Alexa; Bethesda lets make this a thing. You have made multiple ports already for Skyrim, what’s one more?

On top of that, they finally announced VI: that is a way out but looks impressive. Their short 30-second teaser got the crowd up in arms and wanting even more, after the 90-minute press conference of hit after hit after hit.
