‘DuckTales’ Cast Features ‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Community,’ ‘Parks and Rec’ Alums

Disney XD has revealed a cast of top-billed actors for their all-new DuckTales series, coming this summer.

Scottish star David Tennant, best known for his portrayal of the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who voices Scrooge McDuck, while Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) are the voices of Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively.

Beck Bennett voices Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye is Mrs. Beakley, and Kate Micucci plays the part of Webby Vanderquack. Disney XD revealed the cast today in a video of the actors singing a rendition of the original DuckTales theme song. You don’t want to miss that…

The show will feature other fan-favorite DuckTales characters which have yet to be cast. Disney XD confirms that Donald Duck, Flintheart Glomgold, Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, Gizmoduck, Magica DeSpell, Gladstone Gander, and Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys will all be in the mix.

The new DuckTales series is a brand new story, not a continuation of the original series, which follows the quack pack on globe-trotting adventures. The show boasts behind-the-scenes talent with legit pedigrees: Annie Award nominee Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) is executive producer. The story editor and co-producer is Francisco Angones (Wander Over Yonder) and the art director is Sean Jimenez from Gravity Falls.

The all-new DuckTales comes to Disney XD in Summer 2017.
