‘Drag Race’: Which Queen Is Going to Win ‘All Stars 3’?

Well, squirrelfriends, we’ve done it. We have made it to the end of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3. After a lackluster season that failed to provide many iconic moments, it is time to crown a winner.

Following mega-frontrunner BenDeLaCreme knocking herself out of the competition last week, we should have been left with a huge shakeup in the rankings and the excitement of it being anyone’s game. But instead, the same queens seemed to be in the bottom, safe, and winner’s circles all season, leaving us with few surprises as to how it should all shake out.

But at the end of the day, the decision is RuPaul’s to make. So one last time, let’s rank the remaining queens based on who is most likely to get the crown.

4. Kennedy Davenport

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Kennedy Davenport

Kennedy stole the show as The Party Girl in The Bitchelor parody early on in the season but failed to create another standout moment in the following weeks. (Unless you include last night’s hilarious reveal that she thought memes were pronounced “me-me’s,” that is.) Her story this week about being at meet-and-greets and having shorter lines than all the other queens was vulnerable and heartbreaking, but it’s unlikely that she has done enough on this season of All Stars to get the respect she deserves. Although she didn’t necessarily deserve to go home every week, she definitely is going into the finale as the Roxxxy Andrews of All Stars 3, meaning she’s the one queen who we can be confident won’t get the crown.

3. Bebe Zahara Benet

After playing it safe for most of the season, Bebe gained some steam by landing two wins in the previous two challenges. But her strange, boring portrayal of The Queen in this week’s movie parody challenge was one of her biggest fails to date. What’s worse, she insisted backstage that she did nothing wrong, revealing she may lack a sense of self-awareness. She also bored us to tears by refusing to reveal who she planned to send home if she had won last episode’s lip sync. And perhaps worst of all, she doesn’t even know who Ornacia is! (That’s the infamous bedazzled foam head that Season 6 contestant Vivacious wore as her entrance look, for those who don’t know.) And while a casual viewer can be excused for not knowing the name, Bebe’s lack of knowledge revealed she may not be following the Drag Race franchise closely. Do we want a winner that doesn’t love the show or her sisters as much as the other queens do? Luckily for her, Bebe already has the OG crown from Season 1, and that’s likely going to have to be good enough for her.

2. Trixie Mattel

Trixie didn’t get either of the roles that she wanted in the acting challenge this week but still managed to shine anyway — the sign of a true pro. Sadly, it’s likely too little too late for the contestant, who rollerbladed into the workroom as a frontrunner on the first episode but failed to have any breakout moments throughout the entire season. And while it seemed that having wins the past two episodes finally made her a contender for the crown, she was unable to win the lip sync yet again. That means she’s only made it to the Top 2 this season, but never won an entire episode the whole time. Despite her huge fan base and great success outside of the show, it’s hard to argue that she deserves to win with stats like that. Trixie is a winner in the real world but deserves to be a runner-up in the Drag Race universe.

1. Shangela

You can hate on Shangela‘s Game of Thrones references all you want (though if you don’t hate them, check out our casting of the other queens as GOT characters), but the pint-sized queen came to win. She was likely doing a backflip out of her padding when DeLa eliminated herself last week, as it put her directly in the lead spot at last. She has been consistently amazing each week, serving well-planned concepts on the runway, talent in each challenge, and clever strategy that helped keep her at the top. She also has one of the best character arcs overall, going from a Booger who had no respect from other contestants in Season 3 to a powerhouse frontrunner in All Stars. That, combined with her huge successes in TV and business outside of the show, make her a deserving winner. Halleloo!
