Best ‘Drag Race‘ Moments:

Her Barbie Style

Most Drag Race fans had never seen a face painted in the style of Trixie Mattel before and the unique look helped her to stand out on the runway. After all, she doesn’t paint for the back row, she paints for the check-cashing place down the street. Although she didn’t leave the impression on the show that many fans had hoped for, she left her image engrained in viewers’ brains for eternity.

Conjoined Queens

Trixie was originally kicked off in the fourth episode of Season 7 but was offered a second chance that wound up being one of her best moments of the season. RuPaul brought back all the eliminated queens and paired them with the remaining contestants to create a conjoined twins-inspired drag look, with the eliminated queen from the winning pair being able to return to the competition. Pearl and Trixie were paired together and created hilarious beautiful twin/ugly twin characters that won them the challenge and brought Trixie back into the fold.

Reading is Fundamental

Although Trixie’s biting sense of humor wasn’t fully exposed until after her season ended, her jokes during the reading mini-challenge were a good indication of what the comedy queen was capable of. The library was open and Trixie won the challenge with her cutting jabs.

What She’s Been up to Since Her Season Ended:

Oh, honey! Trixie may have built a solid fanbase during her time on Season 7, but it was her time after the race that made her a drag superstar. The queen released a successful country album last year and made an appearance in American Horror Story: Roanoke. The popular web series UNHhhh that she hosted with Katya was picked up by Viceland, making the duo the first Drag Race contestants to land their own TV shows outside of the reality competition. It’s this post-Drag Race success that makes Trixie a frontrunner for the All Stars crown.
