FANDOM recently caught up with actress Dichen Lachman at the red carpet premiere of her new Netflix series, Altered Carbon. While the Dollhouse and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star discussed her new show, she also mentioned her time on Supergirl and what is was like working with director Kevin Smith. Let’s jump into some of her thoughts on working in the Arrowverse.

Hopes for Roulette’s Return

Roulette Arrowverse

Lachman guest starred on Supergirl twice, as baddie Veronica Sinclair AKA Roulette. Routlette was an alien slave trader who caught the attention of Supergirl in the Season 2 episode “Survivors”. Lachman’s Roulette returned in the episode “Supergirl Lives,” which happened to be directed by Kevin Smith.

When asked if she would like the opportunity to come back to Supergirl, Lachman said, “Yeah, of course Roulette’s awesome.” On the fate of her character, Lachman said, “Oh gosh, I don’t know. They left her on some godforsaken planet, didn’t they? Maybe she comes back kind of hardened, as a good guy.” Roulette was last seen on the planet Maaldoria, as Lachman pointed out. She’s still alive, but she would need a ship or a transporter to return to Earth.

Working with Smith

Lachman was then asked what it was like to be on the set of Supergirl. “It was awesome, the cast is amazing, great people, and the writers too.” As FANDOM was asking a final question Lachman excitedly chimed in, “And I got to work with Kevin Smith, which was so exciting.”  The actress said that she was “totally geeking out when he was on set.”

Smith’s introduction to the Arrowverse began on Season 2 of The Flash. He directed the emotional speedforce episode “The Runaway Dinosaur.” He then moved over to Supergirl, to direct Lachman’s off-planet episode “Supergirl Lives.” He has since directed a total of six Arrowverse episodes, including an upcoming episode of The Flash.

Supergirl returns to The CW on Monday, April 16 at 8PM.

In Altered Carbon, Lachman plays Reileen Kawahara. Also in the interview, Lachman said the series pushed her limits, particularly a nude fight scene in Episode 8 which she said she was “very nervous” about.

“It was very confronting for me initially but by the end of it I felt so strong and empowered,” the Australian actress explained. “There’s a lot of stunts in the show, a lot of action.”

Altered Carbon, is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.
