Destiny 2 has launched to largely positive reviews (we here at Fandom think it’s pretty good, too) and Guardians are already hunting for the best loot. Below is our guide to finding two pieces of such high-quality swag.

Destiny 1 Guardians may be familiar with the MIDA Multi-tool scout rifle. It’s one of two exotic weapons making a comeback. We’ll show you how to get it AND how to get its little brother: the MIDA Mini-tool.

To get both guns, you have to have complete the main story line and reach level 20. Once you’ve done that, head to the European Deadzone and talk to Deverim Kay at the church. He’ll give you a quest called Enhance. This is how you’ll get the MIDA Mini. You’ll want both it and its bigger counterpart, but more on that later.

Gimme da loot!

The quest has a couple of steps, nothing too complicated, and you’ll collect the MIDA Mini as a reward from Deverim upon completion.

Next, head to the tower and talk to Banshee-44, the gunsmith. He’ll give you a quest called Sight, Shoot, Repeat. Completing this will give you the MIDA Mulit-tool.

The first step of this quest is getting 50 precision kills and 25 multi-kills without reloading with any scout rifle. Do this and head back to Banshee-44, who will then ask you to dismantle 5 scout rifles, either rare or legendary.

After that, he’ll give you one last quest called The Fall Will Kill You. Get 50 kills with a sub-machine gun while in mid-air to complete. And viola, the MIDA Multi is yours.

Now, you may recall we mentioned something earlier about having both guns. If you read the fine-print on the MIDA Multi you’ll note it says:

MIDA Multi-tool grants additional benefits when the Legendary Submachine Gun MIDA Mini-Tool is equipped in your Energy weapon slot. MIDA Multi-Tool pairs with MIDA Mini-Tool to create an Exotic Weapon set; this weapon is rated as Legendary to allow for both set pieces to be equipped at the same time.

In plain English: if have both weapons equipped, get some crazy-good bonuses to movement speed and range.

Here’s a list of perks for the MIDA Multi:

  • This weapon boosts move speed.
  • Corkscrew Rifling Balanced Barrel
  • High-Caliber Rounds Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther.
  • MIDA Radar Radar stays Active while aiming down sights.
  • Hand-Laid Stock Increased stability and handling speed.

And there you have it, Guardians. Stay tuned right here for all the best Destiny tips and tricks and we’ll see you out on the farm.
