Whenever Darren Aronofsky makes a movie, it’s a big deal. The results aren’t always spectacular, but the man is a visionary and his next project just got a lot more interesting. He’s worked with some terrific actresses in his day. Natalie Portman, Jennifer Connelly, Rachel Weisz, and Mila Kunis are no pushovers. But apparently, he’s just aligned himself with the biggest female star on the planet.
Deadline has confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence, Katniss herself, will be teaming up with the director of Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, and 2014’s Noah on a thus-untitled film about “a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home.” Lawrence and Aronofsky? It doesn’t get much better than that.
More details as they come.
