SPOILER ALERT: Warning, this article contains spoilers from Season 7, Episode 4 of Game of Thrones, entitled The Spoils of War. Proceed at your own risk.

Game of Thrones has given its fans some epic battle episodes. From “Blackwater” and “The Watchers on the Wall,” to “Hardhome” and “Battle of the Bastards.” Well, those episodes just got their ass kicked by Season 7, Episode 4, “The Spoils of War.” For nearly seven years (and way longer for book readers), fans have anticipated Daenerys Targaryen riding one of her dragons and lighting up her enemies. Tonight, that finally became a reality.

At the start of “The Spoils of War,” Daenerys knew she was losing the game of thrones (heh) to Cersei Lannister. This was thanks to the Lannisters’ sacking of Highgarden instead of defending Casterly Rock from the Unsullied. Cersei was outsmarting Tyrion Lannister, who’s been advising Daenerys on her war strategy. The Mother of Dragons wasn’t happy, so she turned to her new BFF (slash super crush) Jon Snow and asked for his advice. YES, BUILD THIS ALLEGIANCE, Game of Thrones. (Then go back to the dragonglass cave and make out over it maybe. Blood schmud, amirite?)

Daenerys was fed up with the “clever plans” and was ready to ride her dragons and light everybody on fire. But Jon was like, calm down. Be different from your Mad King namesake. Make the haters believe in the impossible; show them your dragons but only burn the bad guys.

So Daenerys took her badass Dothraki army and finally gave them a battle to wage. They surprised the Lannister army, who were on their way back to King’s Landing with supplies from Highgarden.

But then Daenerys BURNED THAT SH*T DOWN LIKE A BOSS. And she melted the internet along the way.

Trying to figure out what all this means for Episode 5

As usual, the episode ended ambiguously with Jaime falling further into the fiery water after his new best man Dickon saved him from the wrath of Drogon. What does this mean for Jaime Lannister? Will Daenerys take him prisoner and use him against Cersei? Is this the start to another Lannister jumping ship to Team Targaryen?! Share your Game of Thrones theories with us on @getfandom!
