A24 has become the prime distribution studio when it comes to low budget horror. They look to be bringing another tense picture to screen with It Comes At Night, the new horror film from Krisha director Trey Edward Shults. Check out the first nail-biting trailer (I recommend watching it in a dark room).

*shudder* The atmosphere in this thing looks unbearably creepy. Joel Edgerton and Carmen Ejogo – first time I’ve seen her since Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – look like they are giving intense performances that won’t get the due they deserve because they’re in a horror movie. The horror genre has been shifting towards more original and atmospheric films and that’s a plus in my book. It Comes At Night is looking like another addition to that trend. I’ll definitely find out if that’s true when the film hits theaters on August 25.
