The first teaser trailer for the newest installment of Pixar’s immensely popular Cars series.
This first look offers a tone we haven’t seen before in this franchise. From the looks of it, this could actually be going for something more serious and less silly than what we’ve seen before. This trailer is definitely pointing towards a possible end for Lightning McQueen. The story will involve McQueen being put out to pasture due to a new generation of faster, more aggressive cars. He’ll need the help of Cruz Ramirez, a race technician, and the support of his friends old and new to get back in the game.
Cars 3 will arrive in theaters on June 16, 2017.
