The BFG (that’s Big Friendly Giant) is an adaptation of the classic novel by British children’s author Roald Dahl. Directed by Steven Spielberg and written by late E.T. screenwriter Melissa Mathison, the film stars Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies) as the titular giant and young Ruby Barnhill as the orphan Sophie.
