Best Game of ESL One Cologne, Day 2

Day 2 of ESL One CS:GO has officially wrapped up from Cologne, Germany. It was packed with more drama, close matches, and unbelieveable plays.

From the plethora of matches to watch, we wanted to give you the best of the best from Day 2 of ESL One — A slugfest between Team Liquid and Virtus.pro that went back and forth.

Match Summary

A rough start for Team Liquid as they were quick to drop their first three rounds before getting enough money for some rifles. After taking 2 games back, Liquid lost a consecutive four to make the score 6-2. Things were looking grim for the American squad, but momentum started to work in their favor as they went on an impressive streak of seven wins to take the first half 6-9 as the Terrorists.

After the teams switched sides, Team Liquid continued to show they were in control, by splitting each match and moving ahead to 9-12. However, 12 wins would be the best they could muster as Virtus.pro made an impressive comeback as the Terrorists and took the series by winning 7 consecutive matches themselves, winning 16-12.

With that win, Virtus.pro won their group and will face Mousesports in a best of 1 to see who advances to the quarterfinals. Checkout the game above for the stunning back-and-forth competition.
