The titular battle in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has so much anticipation behind it. This is the first time we’ll get to see two titans of superhero fiction on the big screen, and we’ll also get to see them duke it out. Though we’ve seen a lot of the film in trailers and TV spots, the actual main event has stayed somewhat obscured. The newest clip to come out sheds a little more light on this momentous fight. Watch it below:

If we took a poll, I’m sure a lot of fans would be siding with Batman in this showdown. But, from the looks of this clip, the fight might be a little one-sided in favor of Kal-El. Besides openly stating that he could kill Bruce Wayne easily if he so desired, Superman also seems to brush off Batman’s initial attacks. Will over-confidence be one of Clark’s biggest weaknesses? Part of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looks to be Clark wrestling with his ability to marry his humanity to his godhood. It wouldn’t hurt for his ego to get knocked down a peg or two. Will the introduction of kryptonite be a motivating factor for teaching Superman he’s not as strong as he thinks he is?

What’s most exacting about this clip is how it shows off a Batman we haven’t quite seen on screen before, and I’m not just talking about the Dark Knight Returns influenced armor. Batman is famous for being a world-class tactician, and with what we’ve seen already and including this clip, he looks to be a Batman that plans ten steps ahead.

Even though the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are destined to become BFFs, we can’t wait to see them punch each other sillier on their way to that friendship. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25.
