Originally announced as part of the EA Play press conference, the full Anthem gameplay reveal came during the Microsoft press conference.
A brand new IP from BioWare, Anthem is an MMO where you play as Freelancers—the bold few with the courage to leave civilization behind and explore a landscape of primeval beauty. All are equipped with exosuits called Javelins, which can be customized to make them more appropriate to your playstyle.
The world looks amazing and is filled with big old beasties that you’ll need to take down as you explore the world on your various assignments, but we’re very excited that your exosuit allows you to explore the entire world from air or underwater too.
Anthem is due for release in the fiscal year 2019 so it’s going to be a long old wait for this one.
