  • La La Land joins Titanic and All About Eve as films with the most nominations, with 14.
  • Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the Golden Globe winner for Supporting Actor in Nocturnal Animals, wasn’t nominated for an Oscar.
  • Lin-Manuel Miranda has the chance to become a coveted member of the EGOT fraternity. These nominations give him a chance to have an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award.
  • Hell or High Water, a release from early in 2016 that could have been forgotten, managed to nab two major awards.
