The 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air this Sunday, January 21, 2018. Like the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards honor achievement in film AND television.
Honorees will be revealed at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, simulcast live on TNT and TBS. If you do not have a cable subscription, you will be unable to watch online, as the Screen Actors Guild will NOT be live-streaming the show.
Cord-cutters can watch the ceremony via computer, cell phone or tablet via the internet TV service Sling. Sling has a monthly fee but a seven-day trial is available to first-time subscribers.
For the first time ever, the SAG Awards will have a host — actress Kristen Bell. This year will put women in the spotlight, taking cues from the #timesup movement seeking equality for women in Hollywood (and other industries) as well as an end to sexual harassment.
A list of accomplished female actors to present all 13 of the individual Actor awards. They include: Rosanna Arquette, Halle Berry, Connie Britton, SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris, Geena Davis, Dakota Fanning, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, Felicity Huffman, Brie Larson, Laura Linney, Leslie Mann, Mandy Moore, Rita Moreno, Megan Mullally, Olivia Munn, Niecy Nash, Lupita Nyong’o, Gina Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Sarah Silverman, Marisa Tomei, and Kelly Marie Tran.
Also gracing the SAG Awards stage will be the Actor nominees who will introduce film clips showcasing their outstanding cast performances: Mary J. Blige, Jason Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Holly Hunter, Daniel Kaluuya, Zoe Kazan, Frances McDormand, Laurie Metcalf, Kumail Nanjiani, Sam Rockwell, Ray Romano, Saoirse Ronan, and Allison Williams.
As always, the show will open with actors telling their own I Am An Actor stories; this year the intro will also feature all women.
